Hey Chels Studio is led by Chelsea Nelson — a designer, art director and illustrator with over a decade of industry experience and an Honours Degree in Design. What began as her personal practice has evolved into a collaborative studio offering branding, art direction, illustration and web design — with a signature affinity for bringing an illustrated, human touch to visual identity.

Our studio has worked with national and international brands across hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, real estate, municipal and start-up sectors. With experience rooted in both agency and entrepreneurial environments, we bring a wide lens of perspective to every project — strategic, creative, and grounded in real-world execution. We’re at our best partnering directly with founders and brand leaders to help them articulate their story, and confidently show up in their market.

Today, Chelsea steers every project personally, and brings in a trusted circle of creatives and specialists when a project calls for it. This approach allows us to grow thoughtfully, without ever losing the attention to detail, care, and craftsmanship our clients come to us for.
